  Anders og Kristine flyttet fra Haug i Nittedal til Maridalen i Aker den 26. mai 1850, deretter reiste de til tidlig på 1850-tallet (mellom 1852 og 1857 engang) til Amerika og slo seg ned i Rushford, Fillmore Co, Minnesota. 10.3.1860 kjøpte han 120 acres land. Hans bror Henrik kjøpte land sør for Rushford og hans onkel Hans hadde 160 acres ved siden av Anders. [3]
