    • Det er en Iver Thoresen på Eidsvig som har innskudd på 20-0-0, Sølvskatten 1816. [5]
    • Iver var gjestgiver og kirkeverge ved siden av gårdsdriften. I sin ungdom hadde han vært militær i København og spilte i marinens musikkorps. Da han kom til Eidsvik, søkte han og ble gjestgiver, og satte opp et hus i 2 etasjer. Den gangen ble det kalt "lån" og i dagligtale ble Iver kalt "Låne-Ivar". Slike hus var sjeldne den gangen.

      Iver fikk bygsel av svigerfaren i 1793 flere år før han giftet seg med odelsdatteren Anniche på bruket. Han drev til 1834, da overlot han bruket til sønnen Bernt, som flyttet ut og bygde nytt tun (bnr 7).

      Våningshuset til Iver brant ned en søndags formiddag da alle var i kirken, det kom et rykte om at brannen var påsatt. [6]
